The RAD is one of the most respected classical ballet training programs in the world, offering a structured syllabus that promotes technical excellence, artistic expression, and dancer development at every level. Beyond the Barre: R.E.P. Week is Bakersfield’s only dance education program built directly into the syllabus at MADA
Week 10 at MADA is R.E.P. Week—Rest, Educate, Prepare—a one-of-a-kind experience designed to support dancers both in and out of the studio. This enriching week builds body awareness, promotes injury prevention, and explores essential topics like nutrition,
dance history, vocabulary, and mental recovery. Dancers also
gain practical tools for college and career preparation. R.E.P. Week empowers students to become confident, well-rounded artists—ready for the stage, a college audition, or whatever path lies ahead.

At Mallory Academy of Dance and Arts, we honor the rich diversity of dance by offering training beyond classical ballet. Rooted in a family heritage from Trinidad and Tobago, our robust program celebrates cultural expression through traditional modern dance. MADA also offers hip-hop, jazz, tap, and contemporary classes for all levels. These classes give students the opportunity to explore rhythm, storytelling, and creativity through movement. Our goal is to provide a well-rounded education that equips dancers with the versatility and confidence to thrive in any performance setting.
